Reflection of Term 2

A highlight of term 2 for me was helping to organise and run the annual Caritas Challenge. This was a highlight for me because I enjoyed being out on the field, walking around and giving out the caritas chance cards. I also liked it because we raised around $1,125.00.

Something that wasn't so enjoyable for me was that I missed some blocks of a class I had. This meant I had a lot of work to catch up on out of class.

Polynesian Panther Perspectives - HIST1

In one of my classes, I had to write about the Polynesian Panther movement from two different points of view. One view was some who supported the Polynesian Panthers and one was from someone who was against them.
I think I did pretty well with this task. I explained what the Panthers did, why people supported them and why people opposed them. If I did this again, I could look a some real people's perspectives beforehand and get a good idea of what views people had.

Report on a Social Justice/Human Rights Involvement

This is an achievement standard I did in my Making a Difference class. We had to report on a personal involvement in a social justice or human rights issue. My chosen issue was global warming.

Suzanne Aubert Research

I did some research on the life of Suzanne Aubert in the class Making a Difference. I liked learning about what Suzanne Aubert did in New Zealand and how she helped people. Some of this was new learning and some I already knew.
